This is an animated lyric video for Florence and the Machines’s Rabbit Heart, that I created for one of my final university projects. The illustrations and the lyrics were hand animated with a strong emphasis on creating visuals that move to the beat of the song as well as matching the themes of the original song. I took significant inspiration from the original video for that song which features whimsical tones and many visual references to Lewis Carol’s Alice in Wonderland. The visual choices I made when designing the video take Inspiration from classic hand illustrated story books and includes themes of Alice in Wonderland such as rabbits and a young girl resembling Alice. When analysing the lyrics I x the story to follow someone about to embark on a new phase of life and facing the anxiety that comes with significant change which resonated with me as someone about to graduate university.
